Mother, 26, filmed herself sexually abusing baby then shared clips with pals

A 26 year-old mother admitted filming herself sexually abusing a baby and sharing the clips with other paedophiles online

Paige Cagle of Lexington in Kentucky last week pleaded guilty to molesting the youngster ‘four or five times’.

After her arrest, she told investigators that she herself had been abused as a child, and had been unable to break the cycle.

She targeted her victim, whose relationship to Cagle was not disclosed, while living in Joplin, Missouri, and continued after moving to Kentucky.

The repeated molestation began when the baby was around nine months old, and continued for around nine months.

Cagle’s abuse was uncovered in March 2019 after another pedophile directed an undercover police officer posing as a pervert towards her material.

She used a Dropbox file sharing account to spread the clips among other pedophiles, and would give them her password so they could watch the abuse material.

Cagle, who was arrested for larceny in Florida in 2015, also encouraged others to upload their own child sex abuse material to the same account.

She admitted making five child sex abuse videos, and faces up to 30 years in Fayette County Detention Center when she is sentenced on April 30.

Prosecutor Robert Duncan said: ‘There is no matter of greater importance to law enforcement than protecting innocent children from being violated and abused during the production of child sexual abuse images.

‘This investigation and prosecution ensures for the foreseeable future that the defendant will not be able to continue to physically victimize children.’
