FURIOUS lags claim nursery horror paedophile Angela Allen is allowed a life of luxury in jail
Angela Allen — who offered a girl of three to strangers and was a crony of perverted nursery nurse Vanessa George — was branded “totally evil” by police.
But after being forced from Foston Hall prison in Derbyshire for her own safety six months ago, the 41-year-old has been allowed to return under a new name.
Other lags claim she leapfrogged them to get on a graphic design course, has cookery lessons and her hair done every fortnight.
Allen is also said to live in a fully furnished room with satellite TV and en-suite shower — and no bars. Just-released shoplifter Sam, 39, blasted her “VIP treatment”. She said: “She walks around as if she’s done nothing wrong. She’s about to move to a wing where she can get incoming phone calls and order takeaways. The prison even funded a graphic design course for her.”
Mum-of-two Allen, from Nottingham, has converted to Islam. In 2011 she got an indeterminate sentence after admitting assaulting kids and distributing indecent photos. A Prison Service spokeswoman said: “This prisoner has no extra privileges.”
Allen, 39, from Bulwell, was charged as part of an investigation into Plymouth nursery worker Vanessa George and internet pervert Colin Blanchard. Allen pleaded guilty to four child sex assaults and one count of distributing an indecent image and was sentenced to a indeterminate sentence
Other notable prisoners that have stayed are Karen Matthews who was sent to Foston Hall prison after being jailed in January 2009 for faking the kidnap of her daughter Shannon. She went on TV sobbing for her “little princess” and hoped to pocket a £50,000 reward put up by The Sun to find the “missing” child. But cops found Shannon — drugged and tethered during her captivity — hidden in the base of a divan bed in 44-year-old Donovan’s flat. She has since been released.
Claire Lyte, the tennis coach who was jailed for having sexual relations with a 13-year-old girl pupil. She was locked up for two years and nine months at Foston Hall prison in November 2007 after being found guilty of four counts of sexual activity with a child.
