A convicted sex offender received a further suspended prison sentence after accessing more indecent images of children within weeks of an earlier sentence.
Logan Robinson, 27, of Newport, Isle of Wight, had previously received a 20-month prison sentence suspended for two years for similar offences. That case involved 685 child sexual abuse images across categories A, B and C, with hundreds more found on another device.
Police monitoring software alerted officers to indecent images being accessed. A visit to his home on 3 November 2025 led to the discovery of 135 further indecent images: 16 in category A, 20 in category B and 99 in category C. Two prohibited images were also found.
Robinson admitted four counts of making indecent images of children and was sentenced at Isle of Wight Crown Court on 8 October 2026.
Judge James Newton-Price said he was sceptical of the claim that the images were unsolicited and described the speed of further offending as “depressing and surprising”. He said Robinson had engaged positively with probation and completed 150 hours of unpaid work, and was just persuaded not to activate the earlier suspended sentence.
Robinson received a further 10-month prison sentence suspended for two years, 80 hours of unpaid work and a 200-pound fine. He remains on the sex offenders register and is subject to a ten-year sexual harm prevention order.
