A Wrexham man has been jailed for sexually assaulting a two-year-old girl.
Tristan Watson, 55, of Gwersyllt, appeared at Mold Crown Court on 26 October 2026 after being convicted of assaulting a girl under 13 by penetration. The offence occurred in August 2023.
The child’s mother told the court in a victim personal statement that his actions were unforgivable and that she worried about the effect on her daughter.
Judge Simon Mills sentenced Watson to a ten-year prison term, with an additional year on extended licence, according to the report. The court heard he must serve six years and eight months before being considered for parole.
Watson was made subject to a lifelong restraining order preventing contact with the victim and her mother. He was also given a sexual harm prevention order and placed on the sex offenders register.
