Woman sexually abused schoolboy then tried to babysit other children

A Blackpool woman who engaged in sexual activity with a young boy has been brought back to court after befriending families with children.

Jade Henderson was convicted of engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a boy who was aged 11 in April 2015.

Henderson was given a five-month suspended sentence after pleading guilty to the offence and was also given a five-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order.

She avoided a prison sentence after the boy’s father, in a victim personal statement, said his son had “been a willing party”.

At Preston Crown Court, 27-year-old Henderson appeared to be sentenced for five “flagrant” breaches of the SHPO involving three different young boys.

Henderson, who has “significant learning difficulties”, and her boyfriend had met a family in a pub in Blackpool in January 2018.

Prosecutor Amanda Johnson told the court that the family had four young children.

“The defendant liked playing with the children and their mother thought nothing of it,” she said.

“They became good friends and the defendant and her partner would visit the family three or four times a week.

“The defendant offered to babysit on a number of occasions but the mother refused because she already had a babysitter.

“The defendant also asked if the children could stay over at her home.

“On one occasion the defendant took the children to a shop but she didn’t bring them back immediately which caused the mother to be worried.

“She rang up and the defendant said she was in a KFC with the children and apologised.”

The court heard that the mother was then sent a newspaper clipping dating back to when Henderson was convicted of sexual activity with a child.

“On May 29 in 2018 a man and his wife were on holiday at a campsite in North Wales and the defendant and Mr Wood were at the same campsite,” Miss Johnson said.

“The defendant went into a caravan with her partner and she was talking to some children. She took photos of them on her mobile phone.

“The defendant recounted a tale about how she had two children who had died in a car crash but when she told the family her age they realised something didn’t add up and became suspicious.

“The man’s wife looked on Google and found out about her past.”

One of the boys later said Henderson had taken photos of him and told him that she loved him.

Henderson later failed to comply with the notification requirements of her conviction from 2015 by not informing police when she moved into the New Milton Hotel in Blackpool where she worked as a live-in manager with Mr Wood.

The judge, Recorder Ian Harris, told Henderson there was “no alternative” sentence but immediate imprisonment.

“Your previous convictions for sexual activity with a male child you were cautioned which I view as a warning.

“In June 2016 you were sentenced for failing to comply with the supervision order.

“I regret to inform you that I don’t find any alternative sentence other than immediate imprisonment. You have had warnings in the past and these are offences against children and against justice.

“These children were very young, you befriended them and you didn’t disclose your background. You hoped the parents wouldn’t find out.

“No harm came to the children but I find this behaviour troubling.

“You avoided immediate imprisonment in 2016, you breached the supervision aspect, you have breached the order and ignored court orders and in my judgement the only sentence is one of immediate imprisonment.

“You do pose a risk to children.”

Henderson was jailed for a total of 15 months.

‘Keep your sons close’ Pervert who had sex with boy aged 11 moves to Scotland

A worried mum has issued a warning after a woman who had sex with an 11-year-old boy moved to Scotland.

Jade Henderson, formerly of Blackpool, was handed a suspended prison term in 2016 and placed on the sex offenders’ register for seven years after admitting the crime.

The judge also imposed a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) to run for five years, which was meant to stop her from having contact with boys.

Henderson, 27, has since moved to an address in Wishaw, Lanarkshire, to start a new life.

But last week she was locked up after breaching the order while at a campsite in north Wales in May 2018.

Now a mum of three young boys who came into contact with Henderson at the site has warned Scottish families to be aware of her.

The woman, who doesn’t want to be named, said she was with her sons when they met Henderson and her partner, who was known to the family.

She added: “We knew him as I used to work with his ex-wife.

“I hadn’t seen him for a long time before then. We went to our friend’s caravan and he was there and introduced Henderson to us as his fiancee.

“Then she showed me a picture of a beautiful little boy and girl and said they were her children.

“She said they were killed in a car crash. I asked how old they were and she told me they were nine and seven and it was in 2006, and I sat there thinking, ‘Something’s not right’.

“I was googling for a car crash when a picture of her came up and the story about the 11-year-old boy.

“I told my husband and he went to the other caravan to see [Henderson’s partner] but he said he didn’t know anything about it. They upped and left in the morning.

“We just want people to be aware in case she’s befriending more families.”

The mum contacted cops after discovering Henderson was on the sex offenders’ register.

Police visited the family and took statements from her husband and their youngest son.

“She took pictures of my son, who was only six at the time, and we didn’t think anything of it,” the mum added. “It was only later that we discovered that she told him that she loved him.”

Henderson also failed to comply with the SHPO when she failed to tell police she’d moved into a Blackpool hotel where she worked as a live-in manager.

It was in the seaside town she met another family with four kids in January 2018. Preston Crown Court heard she visited them and offered to babysit.

The family then received a newspaper clipping detailing Henderson’s original offence.

The judge said he could find no alternative to imprisonment, adding that Henderson posed a risk to children. She was sentenced to 15 months for five breaches of the order.

Mum told boy, 15, her son needed help with video game before having sex with him

A perverted mum asked a boy for help with a video game before having sex with him in her bedroom.

Nicola Holton, 36, of Worcester told the boy “she could not wait until 2023 when he would be 18” and preyed on him on two occasions

She contacted her 15-year-old victim saying she needed help with an online game her son was playing.

She lured him to her home by inviting him to watch a film then made him kiss her and put her hand down his trousers.

The sick mum gave him oral sex and also used her hands to perform a sexual act on another occasion.

After telling him that “she could not wait until 2023 when he would be 18”, Holton performed sex acts on him.

The pervert, who works in childcare, was jailed for four years at Worcester Crown Court on Friday, April 30, after admitting two counts of sexual activity with a child and one of sexual communication with a child between August 31 and October 10 last year.

Prosecutor Caroline Harris told the court the boy had said he “wanted it to stop and then he would just be a normal child”.

Mrs Harris said Holton “put her hand inside his trousers” and performed two sex acts on him with her hand and her mouth.

Holton also later sent him messages “suggesting she was pleasuring herself”. The victim said he removed those messages because he did not want to see them.

On another occasion she again kissed him and used her hands to perform a sexual act.

Mrs Harris said: “He felt he could not say anything about what happened because he was afraid he would get into trouble.

“He was asking the officer what his punishment might be for what had happened.

“It was noted by the officer that he was in tears at various stages, showing the distress that has been caused.”

Holton can expect to serve half of the four-year custodial sentence in custody and half on licence in the community.

An indefinite restraining order and a sexual harm prevention order were also made

The restraining order prevents her having contact, directly or indirectly, with the boy or from attending his address or any future address at which she knows or believes him to reside.

The SHPO restricts her use of internet enabled devices, including contacting children online, and prohibits unsupervised contact with any male child under 16 other than her own children.

Paedophile mum who bribed 12-year-old boy with sweets and crisps is jailed

A “manipulative and deceitful” Derby woman has been jailed for a series of sexual offences against a 12-year-old boy.

Debbie Yates, also known as Deborah Yates, formerly of Chaddesden, Derby bribed the youngster with crisps and sweets as a reward for touching her sexually.

The 38-year-old married mum of three was found to have been meeting up with the child when he should have been in school.

These meetings were found to have taken place in a field, and on one occasion she was discovered lying next to him in some bushes and hastily rearranging her clothing.

During her trial, which was held last month, the court heard how the abuse began with kissing and hugging the child, before she began asking him to put his hands down her trousers.

A jury at Derby Crown Court spend more than a day deliberating before finding the mother-of-three guilty of three counts of sexual assault of a child aged under 13, two counts of inciting an under 13 to engage in sexual activity and one count of child abduction.

They cleared her of one count of sexual assault of a child and one count of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.

On Monday, April 19, Judge Robert Egbuna jailed Yates for 10 years, calling her “manipulative and deceitful”.

During the two-week trial at Derby Crown Court, a jury was told how the abuse began with kissing and hugging the child, before she began asking him to put his hands down her trousers.

Sentencing Yates, Judge Robert Egbuna said: “I observed you while you were giving evidence. You sought to suggest to the jury you are someone who has difficulty reading and comprehending what was going on.

“That was far from the truth. You are both manipulative and deceitful.

“Those treats allowed you to groom this young boy.

“What that family went through is difficult to put into words.”

Referring to evidence given in court by the boy’s mother during the trial, the judge said the youngster’s behaviour had changed significantly since the ordeal.

The judge added: “In her own words she said she had lost her soft little boy, her little monkey, who always wanted to help.”

“He would hit his younger brother and even threatened to kill her [his mother].

“When she tried to hug him he did not want her to touch him.

“This was as a result of your [Yates’] behaviour.”

In a victim impact statement which was read out at court, the boy said he had trusted Yates and she had taken advantage of him.

“I realise she was being kind to me and bought me stuff so that I would trust her more and let her do what she wanted to me,” he said.

“I now feel stupid. When I was 12 I saw Debbie as a provider.”

He said the gifts she given him had made him like her even more.

“Sometimes I was not nice to people who were just looking out for me,” he said.

“I feel disgusted by what Debbie has done. She was the adult and should have known better.

“I feel Debbie took advantage of me as I was 12 and didn’t understand my feelings. I wish I hadn’t believed all she said and fallen into her trap.

“I would like Debbie to go to prison for as long as possible. I would be sad to think she could put another child through what I’ve been through.”

Yates showed no emotion when her sentence was read out to her as she appeared over video link from prison.

In addition to the 10-year prison term, Yates was ordered to sign the sex offenders register for life and given a sexual harm prevention order until further notice.

Mother-of-three guilty of paying 12-year-old boy with crisps and sweets for sexual favours

A mother-of-three has been found guilty of rewarding a 12-year-old Derby boy with crisps and sweets to touch her sexually.

A near two-week trial heard how Deborah Yates encouraged the victim to skip school and meet her in a field where some of the activity took place.

A jury spend more than a day deliberating before finding the 38-year-old guilty of three counts of sexual assault of a child aged under 13, two counts of inciting under 13 to engage in sexual activity and one count of child abduction.

They cleared her of one count of sexual assault of a child and one count inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.

Judge Robert Egbuna adjourned the sentence until April 19 telling the court he wanted to see an updated victim impact statement before deciding Yates’ fate.

He remanded her into custody until then.

The trial heard how the abuse began with kissing and hugging him but very soon matters turned to her telling him to put his hands down her trousers.

And on one occasion she was found by one of his teachers lying down next to him in bushes and hastily rearranged her clothing.

Yates, formerly of Chaddesden, had denied all of the counts

Andrew Vout, prosecuting, opened the trial by saying how the offences took place during 2017 when both the defendant and the boy were living in Derby.

He said Yates befriended him and within a short space of time began grooming him.

Mr Vout said: “We say she groomed him and had sexual contact with him.

“She says there was no sexual contact at all.

“She’s lying.”

“She asked him not to go to school and encouraged him to meet her rewarding him with sweets and drinks.

“She would meet him a field near his school and encourage him to kiss and touch her.

“She would put her hands down his trousers and touch him (sexually).

“She asked him to do the same, she would give him money, sweets and crisps.”

Mr Vout said Yates then gave the boy a mobile phone so they could arrange to meet without other people knowing.

He said teachers at the boy’s Derby school because concerned he was missing lessons and that the boy would begin going missing on numerous occasions.

Mr Vout said the police became involved in September 2017 and Yates was issued with a notice to “stay away” from the boy.

He said on December 7, 2017, Yates met the victim near to his school and one of the teachers went outside and found the defendant lying down in bushes with a figure lying next to her with its hood up.

Mr Vout said: “She rearranged her clothing and came out of the bushes and then a smaller figure came out and that was (the victim).

“She was arrested for child abduction and shortly after this moved out of the area.

“(The boy) found what happened extremely confusing, boundaries had been blurred, he had been groomed.

“He spoke to the organisation Safe and Sound which specialised in dealing with child sexual victims.”

Mr Vout said the defendant, now of Swadlincote Road, Woodville, was arrested and questioned about the accusations.

In them she denied anything sexual had ever happened between them.
