Esh Winning paedophile used fake names on Telegram and Reddit

A convicted paedophile who used undisclosed online aliases and deleted his browsing history has been jailed for two years after admitting six offences.

Daniel David Price, 34, of Cypress Park, Esh Winning, County Durham, breached restrictions imposed following his earlier conviction involving child abuse images.

Price was jailed in 2018 after downloading indecent images of children and sending an undercover police officer a video showing a child being r*ped.

Almost eight years later, he was back before Durham Crown Court — this time for breaking the rules intended to allow police to monitor his activities.

The former shelf stacker admitted four breaches of a S*xual Harm Prevention Order and two offences relating to his registration requirements.

He failed to disclose the aliases “Paul P” and “Chance-twist-7540”, which he used for Telegram and Reddit accounts.

He also deleted Zangi, Telegram, Teleguard and Snapchat, along with his browsing history, preventing officers from checking his internet use as required under the order.

Judge Jo Kidd sentenced Price to two years in prison and reminded him that his restrictions would continue after release.

The court heard he would be released on licence no later than halfway through the sentence. His prison release will not end his obligation to comply with the orders.
