Man ‘sorry’ for having child porn

A CLEETHORPES man was found with 189 indecent images of children on his computer.

George Black, 43, of Penshurst Road, admitted making indecent photographs of children, of varying levels, between March 2007 and October last year.

However, Jeremy Evans, prosecuting, told Grimsby Crown Court there was “no trace” of Black using the internet to search for such pictures.

Mr Evans said: “He said he was searching adult porn sites on the internet.”

The court heard the images “popped up” and were deleted immediately by Black.

They were only found through expert “forensic tracing”.

Andrew Bailey, mitigating, said: “It was clear he had not deliberately initially set out to search this sort of material, but had been reckless as to bringing the material up.”

He said Black, who is married with two children, was sorry for the upset and inconvenience caused.

Recorder Euan Duff told Black he had behaved recklessly.

He was given an 18-month supervision order, must pay £250 costs and will be placed on the sex offenders’ register.
