‘Deviant’ pervert sent to jail for 12 acts of sex abuse against children

A ‘DEVIANT pervert’ from Stoke has been jailed after committing 12 acts of sexual abuse against children.

Neil Buck of Valletort Road, appeared at Plymouth Crown Court where he was sentenced for his crimes.

He had previously pleaded guilty to four counts of making indecent images of children, one count of sexual assault on a child under 13 and one of taking indecent photographs of children.

He had also pleaded guilty to five counts of possessing indecent images of children and one of sexual activity with a child.

The court heard the 50-year-old was found with over 400 indecent images of children on his computer and phone.

Around 300 of these were at level one – the least serious category, and one at level five – the most serious category. He was also found with one extreme image, the court heard.

Judge Miranda Robertshaw said Buck was a ‘mature man who knew what he was doing’ and said he had shown a ‘perverted and deviant behavioural attitude’.

He was jailed for a total of two years and eight months, minus 91 days he had already served on remand.

When he has served his sentence he will be released on licence and he has been ordered to never make contact or build relationships with anyone under the age of 16.
