Christopher Williams jailed for s*xual offences against children

A man from Maesteg has been jailed for multiple s*xual offences following a South Wales Police investigation.

Christopher Williams, 73, from Maesteg, was jailed for 11 years and nine months and given a restraining order at Cardiff Crown Court on Wednesday 21 October 2026.

Williams pleaded guilty to nine counts of indecent assault on a girl under 14; two counts of inciting a girl under 14 to commit an act of gross indecency; one count of an offender aged 18 or over engaging in penetrative s*xual activity with a girl under 13; one count of an offender aged 18 or over engaging in non-penetrative s*xual activity with a girl under 13; one count of attempting to have s*xual intercourse with a girl under 13; and one count of indecent assault on a woman over 16.

The offences spanned a 30-year period and involved multiple victims.
