Rapist jailed for 13 years for sexual abuse of children in Salford

 

A man has been jailed after he raped and sexually abused two men and a woman when they were children.

Karl Snape, 44, of Gransmoor Avenue in Ashton, was found guilty of 13 offences of indecent assault and three counts of rape after a trial at Manchester Crown Court Crown Square.

He was sentenced to 13 years in prison and will remain on the Sex Offender’s Register for life.

Between 1983 and 1989 Snape abused three children, the youngest of whom was a girl of just seven when sexual assaults started.

Snape’s two other victims were boys age eight and 11, who were abused over the course of six years.

The abuse took place in Salford.
