The mother of a young girl who was sexually molested by a Pitsea man today said she felt justice had been done after he was sentenced to four years imprisonment.
Kevin Sloper, 32, was found guilty of indecent assault and two charges of indeceny with a girl under ten by a jury at Southend Crown Court yesterday.
The girl’s mother, who cannot be named for legal reasons, said that more than a year after the offences took place her daughter still suffers from harrowing nightmares.
The 35-year-old said: “She still has difficulty sleeping. I hear her crying at night sometimes.”
