Rapist jailed for 12 years

A RUNCORN rapist has been jailed for 12 years at Warrington Crown Court.

Ronald Green, who had been living in a bail hostel, will have to sign the sex offenders register for life.

Green, a stocky, ruddy-faced man of 59, was found guilty of 15 offences over several years by a jury of six men and six women on Tuesday.

He was caught after the boyfriend of one of his victims went to the police.

He had argued the incidents had been consensual or had been made up by his victims.

He was convicted of six rapes, two attempted rapes, six indecent assaults and indecency with a child.
