Paedophile is jailed

A CREWE man who worked for childrens charity groups superimposed a friend’s 13-year-old daughter’s face on a naked woman and performed sex acts on it, a court heard.

Michael Frederick Dixon, 48, of West Street, was sentenced to 12 months in jail at Chester Crown Court on Tuesday after pleading guilty to indecent assault, possessing indecent pictures, and taking and making indecent photographs of two children aged nine and 13.

Dixon, a friend of the two girls’ father for 30 years, was exposed when a friend of the girls told her mother that he had taken pictures of the two girls on his bed and in the shower.

Prosecuting Simon Mills said: “Their mother couldn’t believe that he’d taken any pictures of her children because of his work with childrens charity groups.

“A search by police on June 4 made a number of disturbing finds.”

Police uncovered a picture of a naked woman with one of the girl’s faces superimposed on it and a video showing him performing sexual acts on a large-scale cardboard cut out of an adult woman that had the girl’s face stuck on it.

Dixon had taken the picture of the girl from one of the family’s albums, superimposed her head on a naked woman and photocopied it at the community group where he worked.

Other pictures show one of the girls wearing a satin gown draped across her shoulders baring her chest, and one with his hand adjusting her gown.

Other pictures were found under his pillow on his bed, along with five Alice bands and mini skirts in his bedroom.

Recorder of Chester Judge Elgan Edwards said: “These are offences of an unpleasant and disgusting nature.

“You’ve used your position as a family friend to abuse two young girls – one was only nine-years-old.

“You didn’t merely possess the pictures, you took them and developed them.

“What’s more worrying is the fact that you don’t seem to think that there’s anything wrong with it.”

Dixon was placed on the Sex Offenders Register and will be supervised for two years when released.
