Alistair Bowie jailed for 11 years for raping two girls in Moray

A man has been jailed for a total of 11 years for raping two young girls in Moray.

Alistair Bowie, 44, of Coachford, Aberdeenshire, was previously found guilty of abusing the two children over a period of 13 years, when they were aged between nine and 15.

One of the girls was only 11 years old when Alistair Bowie began attacking her at an address in Keith.

The girl told the court how she was sexually molested in a car on various occasions over a two-year period.

The other child was 14 years old when she was raped at a different property in the Moray town.

He was convicted after a seven-day trial at the High Court in Inverness.

At the High Court in Edinburgh, Lord Stewart also handed Bowie an extended sentence of three years.

He was earlier placed on the sex offenders register.
