Man sentenced to eight years for sexual offences

A “predatory” 51-year-old man who would “take advantage of young girls” in an abuse of his position has been sentenced to eight years in prison.

Craig Spencer, of Owston Ferry, was recently sentenced for six counts of sexual activity with a girl, which dates back to 2005 and 2006 when he owned a tattoo parlour on Robert Street, Scunthorpe.

He will serve a minimum of four years in prison and has been ordered to sign on the sexual offenders register for the rest of his life.
