Christopher Edwards, 54, pleaded guilty to two counts of making indecent photographs of children.

Court papers stated he had 1,352 category C and 15 category B images in Bournemouth.

The category C images offence was committed between March 1, 2021, and January 11 last year, while matter relating to the more serious category took place on December 18, 2020.

Edwards, whose address was given as The Drove, Stoborough, appeared in the dock at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Friday, July 28.

He received an 18-week prison sentence, suspended for two years, with a requirement to take part in up to 35 days of rehabilitation activity.

The defendant was placed on the sex offenders register for seven years and made subject to a 10-year sexual harm prevention order.

The court also made an order for Edwards’s computers to be forfeited and destroyed.
