Football hooligan caught by paedophile hunters

A football hooligan was ordered to take off a t-shirt linking him to a notorious hooligan gang after he was caught in a paedophile hunter sting.

Motherwell yob Scott Notman, 47, was told to cover the top which revealed links to the Saturday Service casual gang who associate themselves with the Fir Park side.

Pervert Notman was caught trying to meet an underage girl in a sting by hunting group Children’s Innocence Matters.

He struck up a conversation with a girl called ‘Emma’ on dating app Meet24 but was unaware he was talking to a decoy.

A confrontation, that was filmed on Facebook and streamed almost 300,000 times, shows shell-shocked Notman denying claims he had arranged to meet an underage girl.

But live messaging during the incident saw members of the violent Motherwell gang demand Notman cover his clothes which were emblazoned ‘Dressers’.

In one exchange a woman in the video is heard telling Notman: “The Motherwell Saturday Service have seen this video and have said bin your t-shirt.

“People from all around Motherwell are saying you’ve to take that top off. It’s a casual top.”

Another woman says: “You’re a sh** bag. You can only pick on wee boys. You’re not a casual. You’re an old man pretending to be a football casual.”

A source said: “The members of the Saturday Service are absolutely raging about this and he is already an outcast.”

Notman appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court and admitted sending indecent communication to a child and attempting to meet a person under 16 to engage in sexual activity in November last year.

He was jailed at the same court in August 2021 for a vicious assault on a Hearts fan who had been at Fir Park.

Sheriff Michael Higgins deferred sentence on Notman, of Hamilton, for reports until next month and remanded him in custody.

He also placed him on the sex offenders’ register.
