Paedophile arranged to meet girl, 12, at railway station
A paedophile has admitted trying to meet a 12-year-old girl at a Derbyshire railway station with the intention of having sexual activity with her.
Over a number of days, Adam Hubbard began talking to the youngster online before arranging to meet her at Belper railway station on June 16, this year.
But unbeknown to the 38-year-old, the underage victim was actually an undercover police officer posing as the girl in order to snare those who seek out children for sex.
Appearing over a video-link from HMP Nottingham into Derby Crown Court on Monday morning, July 17, Hubbard pleaded guilty to the following charges:
Attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child between June 13 and 17.
Attempting to cause a child to watch a sexual act between the same dates.
Arranging to facilitate communication with a child for the commission of a sexual act.
Attempting to meet a child following sexual grooming.
