Man jailed for 20 months following sexual assaults and public order offences
A man has been jailed following a GMP investigation into an incident at Royal Oldham Hospital last year.
Dylan Hardman (17/01/1997), of no fixed abode, appeared at Minshull Street Crown Court yesterday (Thursday 13 July 2023), to be sentenced for three sexual assaults and two racially aggravated public order offences, as well as provocation of violence.
He was sentenced to 20 months imprisonment and given a criminal behaviour order, in addition to having to to sign the sex offenders registers for ten years.
This was after Hardman visited the Royal Oldham Hospital on the afternoon of Monday 14 November 2022. Whilst in the waiting room with members of the public, unprovoked, he began to shout and make direct racist remarks and questions towards a person who ultimately feared for their safety, as well as sexually assaulting two people.
As he continued to become erratic and cause understandable distress and concern, a nurse moved Hardman from the waiting room, who ultimately returned on several occasions to continue the abuse.
He was later led to a treatment room and tests conducted after complaints of chest pains where he continued to inappropriately behave.
Later leaving and being escorted by security, he was arrested the following week after reports were made and enquiries conducted to launch an investigation.
Prior to this on 19 June 2021, Hardman sexually assaulted a person at a store in Oldham, later being identified by officers from CCTV.
