Sex offender jailed for breaching Sexual Harm Prevention Order

A sexual offender from Bridgend has been jailed for two years and eight months for breaching his Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).

Shane Mills, 25, breached the conditions of his order, when his Offender Manager suspected he had access to an undeclared mobile phone which allowed him to access the internet.

The officer’s suspicions were confirmed when a warrant conducted at Mills’ address uncovered a mobile that was attributed to him.

Last week, Mills was jailed at Cardiff Crown Court to two years and eight months after pleading guilty to two counts of breaching his SHPO and one count of breaching his suspended sentence.
