Leytonstone paedophile who filmed victims with hidden cameras jailed

A Leytonstone paedophile who befriended families with young daughters and used hidden cameras to secretly film his victims was jailed this week.

Police raided Dean Gordon’s home in August 2021 and uncovered more than 12,000 indecent images of children.

These included some Gordon had made himself, such as a recording of him sexually assaulting the sleeping daughter of a friend.

The 41-year-old, of Rosewood Court, pleaded guilty to taking indecent photos of children, possessing child pornography, sexually assaulting a young girl and voyeurism.

The court heard that a three-day search of his home uncovered numerous hidden cameras, including some in water bottles or coat hooks, which Gordon had used to film unsuspecting naked women and girls he knew.

In total, Gordon had 12,529 indecent images of children, including over 2,000 of the most extreme images. This included 436 images of children he had covertly recorded himself.

On 16th January, he was sentenced to six years and eight months in prison at Snaresbrook Crown Court.
