Man in Cambridge jailed over sexual abuse and indecent images and faces deportation

A man living in Cambridge has been jailed after sexually abusing a child and making and taking indecent images and will be deported on his release.

A warrant was executed at the Parkside home of Grzegorz Szpejankowski, 47, in January 2019 after police received information about indecent images being made online.

They checked his computers and found a large number of media files with titles indicative of child abuse.

They also found 11 images of Szpejankowski abusing a girl and hundreds of other files containing hundreds of indecent images and videos.

Szpejankowski had to be extradited after fleeing the country following his arrest.

He was jailed for six years and three months on Tuesday at Peterborough Crown Court after being found guilty of one count of making indecent photographs of a child, three counts of taking indecent photographs of a child, one count of sexual assault of a child under 13, one count of sexual activity in the presence of a child and possession of a paedophile manual.

He will spend a further four years on licence and was given a Sexual Harm Prevention Order which will last indefinitely.

He will be deported from Britain upon his release from prison.
