A pervert has been jailed after being caught masturbating in public three times in one day.

Arshad Azad committed the lewd acts on a bus and outside a coffee shop.

In one incident he touched himself in full view of members of the public including several children. Two of the three acts were carried out ‘under clothing’.

Azad committed the offences in Halesowen on August 15

The 62-year-old, of Slade Road, Halesowen, was already subject to a suspended sentence for ‘similar offences’.

Court papers showed that order was made on May 13 in relation to four incidents that took place between June 23, 2021, and August 1 this year. On those occasions, he was convicted of committing an act outraging public decency by behaving in an indecent manner.

Two of those occasions saw him “masturbating in his window in full view of members of the public on a residential street near a primary school”.

Azad was jailed by Wolverhampton Magistrates’ Court for 28 weeks.

He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £154.
