Man groomed girl, 14, on Snapchat and then sexually assaulted her in train toilet

A sex predator  who groomed a 14-year-old girl on Snapchat then sexually assaulted her when they met up has been banned from using a mobile or the internet for eight years.

Deniel Walker, 21, persuaded the child to go into the toilet by claiming he was too nervous to go alone in order to carry out the sex attack.

After the assault last October 4, Walker abandoned the schoolgirl on the train heading towards Liverpool Street, east London, and fled the scene.

The distraught victim was helped by members of the public, who took her to a police station to report the crime.

Walker met the girl at Northolt station in north west London after messaging the youngster back-and-forth over Snapchat. He paid for her ticket and together they boarded a train towards Liverpool Street.

The attack took place between Tottenham Hale and Liverpool Street. Walker was arrested early the next morning at his home in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire.

He was jailed for four years after pleading guilty to two counts of engaging in penetrative sexual activity at Inner London Crown Court.

A judge ordered him to be put on the sex offenders’ register and handed a restrictive sexual harm prevention order, banning him from using a mobile phone or any internet device for eight years.
