Vile Scots beast jailed for six years after forcing young girl to eat his faeces and raping sleeping woman

A depraved Scots beast was jailed for six years after forcing a young girl to eat his faeces before sexually abusing her in the bath.

Lewis Ewan Petrie Smith, from Inverkeilor, Angus, was found guilty of multiple charges following a trial at the High Court in Edinburgh last month.

The 27-year-old subjected the girl, who was under the age of 13 at the time, to a string of violent beatings which saw him bite her nose and strangle her.

Smith appeared at the court on Friday for sentencing and was handed six years imprisonment along with three years of supervision.

Judge Lady Poole told Smith the jury found the crimes he committed “nauseating”.

She added society wouldn’t “tolerate…abuse of this nature”.

Smith also forced the girl to open her mouth before spitting in it and making her swallow his saliva

The vile predator spat in her hair, forced food into her mouth, punched and pushed her on the body as well as placing his faeces on her hand and forcing her to eat it.

Smith, a self-employed joiner, was also found guilty of raping a woman who was intoxicated, asleep and unable to give consent in June 2019.

He attacked her a second time while she pretended to be sleeping before removing her lower clothing and sexually assaulting her on a third occasion.

A jury found the brute guilty of engaging in a course of conduct which was likely to cause a woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, fear or alarm.

He shouted, swore, made derogatory remarks about her appearance, threatened her with violence and denied her access to money.

On a separate occasion, he grabbed her by her clothing and pushed her, all to her injury.

The horrific offences took place at various addresses in the Arbroath and Montrose areas between June 2016 and October 2019.

Smith, who had denied his guilt, was previously placed on the sex offenders’ register.

Lady Poole said Smith’s victims had suffered “physical and emotional harm”.

The judge said pre-sentencing reports found Smith held a “high risk” of sexual re-offending.

She said the sentence reflected the “sustained nature” of his offending and the “risk of serious harm on your release”.
