Pervert caught on two separate stings by different paedophile hunting teams

A pervert has been jailed after he was caught on two separate stings by different paedophile hunting teams

On the 24th June 2022, Roy Pepper of Norfolk appeared at Norwich  Crown Court where he was sentenced for the following charges:

  • 16 counts of attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child

  • 3 counts of attempting to incite a child to engage in sexual activity

  • 1 counts of attempting to intentionally arrange or facilitate the commission of a child sex offence

The court was told that Pepper was apprehended and arrested on two separate occasions during 2021, after grooming what he believed were young girls online.

Pepper sent highly sexualised messages with the clear intent of wanting to engage the girls into sexual activity

However, in both instances, the girls were actually decoys that were operated by adults members of paedophile hunting teams.

Paedophile hunters ‘Fleetwood Enforcers’ confronted Pepper at his home address in April 2021 about his online activity, before police arrived to arrest the pervert. He was later ‘released under investigation’

In December 2021, Pepper received another knock at his door after he went back online to groom more young girls online. The team again questioned him before police arrived to arrest the pervert for a second time.

The judge sentenced Pepper to four years imprisonment

Pepper was handed a lifetime sexual harm prevention order and was told that he must also register as a sex offender for life
