Child Rapist Could Serve Life In Jail

A man who raped and threatened to kill a six-year-old girl has been told he could spend the rest of his life behind bars.

Clinton Waller, 25, was branded a ‘predatory paedophile’ by Judge Phillip Clegg.

He slapped his victim to make her comply with his demands and threatened to kill her if she told anyone.

The attacks happened between August and November last year on Canvey.

Waller, who denied the charges, will serve a minimum of six years in jail; but could stay locked up for life if the authorities still consider him to be a danger.

Waller was sentenced at Basildon Crown Court on Friday.
