Blackburn man jailed over plot to groom 13 and 14-year-old girls
A 28-year-old from Blackburn has been jailed for almost six years after he tried to groom girls he believed to be 13 and 14 years old.
Suleman Mahmood was jailed for five years and eight months last week after attempting to groom teenage girls and asking them to send explicit images of themselves to him. It later came to light that Mahmood was actually communicating with decoys from the Online Child Abuse Activist Group (OCAAG).
As well as being jailed, the defendant was ordered to sign the Sex Offenders Registers for life and made the subject of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order, limiting his access to the internet and interaction with children.
