Pervert jailed after he admitted sexually assaulting a young girl

A delivery driver has been jailed for four years after he admitted sexually assaulting a young girl which caused her “grave damage”.

Christopher Rowland Seston sexually assaulted the girl numerous times, with the girl saying she thought it happened on at least 10 occasions.

Officers were first tipped off to Seston, now of Sandhurst in Berkshire after moving away from Swindon, after they received information he was accessing child abuse images online.

But after arresting him in February last year and seizing his devices, they uncovered further evidence he had taken indecent images and had abused a child.

Seston of Kirkham Close, Owlsmoor, appeared at Salisbury Crown Court on Thursday (June 16) for sentencing, having pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual activity with a child, one count of taking indecent images, and three counts of making indecent images.

Judge Richard Parkes QC said the impact of Seston’s offending was “deeply traumatic” and “it is perfectly clear… that you will have caused her grave damage”.

Earlier, prosecutor Tom Wilkins said category A indecent videos of children, the most serious kind, were found on Seston’s devices, as well as category B videos and category C still images.

In a victim statement which Mr Wilkins summarised to the court, the victim said that at the time she felt “extremely scared and worried”.

Judge Parkes condemned Seston’s offending, and jailed him for four years in total.

An indefinite sexual harm prevention order will place restrictions on his internet use and contact with young people, and he will be subject to indefinite notification requirements on the sex offenders’ register.
