Sarah Campbell, 40, had sex with the boy in open public places and in the same room as other people which led to her eventually giving birth to his child.

The mum would supply the boy with cocaine and cannabis so they would “get off their barnets” together as part of her sordid plot to make him her “sexual play thing” when she started grooming him and abusing him in 2016.

The court heard that the 39-year-old had sex with her victim on a golf course and under a blanket while others were sleeping in the same room.

Martine Snowdon, prosecuting, said Campbell would avoid people discovering their secret, by getting him to sneak into her house at unusual times of day and hide.

During the period of abuse, predator Campbell would sneak the victim into her house and get him to hide to avoid being seen and she eventually he fell pregnant with a child.

The boy eventually found the courage to tell an adult about what had been happening to him, but Campbell “denied it all and even suggested that the boy had raped her”.

This had to be investigated by the police, subjecting him to further anguish.

She later fell pregnant with a child, determined to be his and was charged with multiple sexual offences against him

Judge Ian Harris told Campbell her actions had robbed the boy of part of his childhood.

Campbell, of Longfellow Street, Bootle, was jailed for nine and a half years.

As she was jailed, she stood motionless with her head down and her hands placed against the dock for a number of minutes before sitting down and placing her head in her hands for the rest of the hearing.
