Man, 34, sentenced for possession of indecent videos of a child

A 34 year old man has escaped an immediate prison sentence after admitting the possession of indecent videos of a child.

Aaron Harrison was given a 12 month prison sentence suspended for two years when he appeared at Bradford Crown Court on Friday.

Harrison, formerly of Belle Hill, Giggleswick, and now of Valley Road, Bradford, admitted two counts of possession of indecent images when he appeared at Skipton Magistrates at the end of July.

The Skipton court heard that Harrison was found to have 21 videos in his possession at Main Road, Stainforth, on April 17, 2020. 15 of the videos were at the highest Category A, while six were of Category B.

Harrison was caught following an investigation by police which involved an undercover officer conversing with him on the mobile phone app Kik, the court was told at the time.

He was arrested in April, 2020 and forensic examination of a phone discovered the downloaded videos. In an interview with police in December, he made full admissions, the court was told.

The Judge at Bradford Crown Court also sentenced him to 160 hours unpaid work and 30 rehabilitation activity requirement days and made him the subject of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for 10 years.
