Lorry driver admits making hundreds of indecent images of children

A lorry driver caught with hundreds of indecent images of children will be sentenced next month.

Kevin Greenwood, previously of Errington Street, Brotton, pleaded guilty to four charges at Teesside Magistrates’ Court on Monday .

The offences took place between January 12, 2016 and January 14, 2022 at Middlesbrough. Greenwood, 58, confirmed his name and address at court and entered his guilty pleas.

The charges are:

Make indecent photograph / pseudo-photograph of a child Between category A, B & C still images, of a child

Taking an indecent photograph / pseudo-photograph of a child, namely, a video recorded on a mobile telephone, of a child.

The Teessider, of no fixed address, appeared unrepresented and was told the case was too serious to be dealt with at the magistrates’ court.

No further details were outlined at the short hearing. Greenwood was granted unconditional bail until the next hearing.

He will appear for sentence at Teesside Crown Court on May 23.
