A former Wakefield teacher has been jailed for seven years after being convicted of sexual activity with a child.

Jonathan Adamson, 33, of Lockley Crescent, Hatfield, Hertfordshire, was sentenced at Leeds Crown Court on Monday (6 December) to seven years imprisonment.

He was also put on the sex offenders’ register indefinitely and made the subject of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.

He was convicted following a trial at Leeds Crown Court of four counts of sexual activity with a child and pleaded guilty at the start of the trial to one further count of sexual activity with a child.
