Ex-squaddie who wore ill-fitting wig and ra-ra skirt in back-alley sex act to do unpaid work

A convicted paedophile who admitted exposing her penis, using a sex toy and masturbating in public, is now carrying out unpaid work in the local community.

Chloe Thompson committed the “grossly offensive” acts in daylight and in front of members of the public.

At one point, three children saw her exposing herself and thrusting her hips in the window of her Middlesbrough home.

She now has 18 convictions for 26 offences, including sexually assaulting an underage girl in 2011.

She has since breached the register orders and requirement conditions 12 times.

In 2010, he was also locked up for a year for affray after he threatened to shoot a former girlfriend and her new partner.

Thompson admitted carrying out the offences after a couple saw her performing a sex act on herself in a back alleyway of Wellesley Road, in the Borough Road area of Middlesbrough, on August 13, 2021.

At Teesside Crown Court, prosecutor Liz McGowan said “the defendant was moving forwards and backwards against a wheelie bin” before being seen using a sex toy on herself. At the time she was wearing “an ill-fitting black wig, a ra-ra skirt and a midriff-length top”.

“She was shouted at by the witnesses and ran away,” said Ms McGowan.

Former soldier Thompson was also seen exposing herself on Cromer Street – where she lived at the time of the offending.

Ms McGowan said a witness described seeing “a male on the street”, “wearing women’s clothing” and seeing that person “lifting and playing with their penis”.

The court heard another witness described seeing “a male” standing in the forecourt area of a house “leaning over the garden gate, thrusting their hips forwards and backwards looking at the group as if he wanted them to notice him”.

The thrusting continued for about a minute, the prosecution said, and Thompson was then seen walking back towards the house, apparently performing a sex act on herself

On the same day, a woman was passing with her granddaughters in the car, who were aged 10, 11 and 14 at the time. As they passed the house, “one of the grandchildren shouts, ‘Look at that lady’,” said Ms McGowan.

The grandmother said she saw “a male standing in the window exposing his bum making thrusting movements with his hips”.

Ms McGowan said: “The offences were carried out in daylight and in front of children who were passing. They were grossly offensive.”

Thompson, who was previously known as Andrew McNab, sexually assaulted a young girl and was put on the sex offenders’ register in 2011. She has since breached the register conditions 11 times.

She moved to Teesside from Glasgow, and hopes to go back into the Army, to the Reserves, and has also undertaken courses to work in the wind turbine industry

Thompson, of Cromer Street in Middlesbrough, was sentenced for committing public nuisance by indecently exposing herself; committing act outraging public decency; outraging public decency by behaving in indecent manner, in May last year.

The defendant received a six-month prison term, suspended for two years and was also ordered to complete 100-hours of unpaid work and attend 50 rehabilitation days with the probation service.

Ex-soldier exposed her penis and used wheelie bin as sex toy in public

A trans sexual offender lifted her skirt and exposed herself three times in one day.

Ex- soldier Chloe Thompson, 42, (who was previously convicted as Andrew McNab) was caught rubbing herself on a public wheelie bin before using a sex toy on herself in an alley in Middlesbrough, Teesside, on August 13 last year.

A couple shouted at her and she ran away.

On the same day, she exposed herself on the street where she lives and thrust her hips into a fence.

A witness said Thompson looked at her and the group she was with ‘as if Thompson wanted them to notice her’.

Once she was inside her house, she exposed her bum and thrust against her window – which three children saw as they were in a car driving past.

Thompson was already on the sex offenders’ register before she had come out as trans when she was legally named Andrew McNab.

She has 17 convictions for 22 offences, including sexually assaulting an underage girl in 2011.

In 2010, he was also locked up for a year for affray after he threatened to shoot a former girlfriend and her new partner.

Before Thompson’s most recent crimes, she had to appear in court last May for opening a TikTok account without informing the police.

This was something she had to do according to the 10-year notification requirement imposed on her after the sexual assault case.

It was at this point the authorities discovered she had changed her name by deed poll – a legal document expressing an intention. Thompson was handed a suspended sentence for breaching the order.

Thompson, who used to be a soldier, pleaded guilty to her three most recent crimes on February 15.

Teesside Crown Court was supposed to sentence her on Tuesday but the judge said he wanted to first investigate if ‘structures can be in place to protect the public from such behaviour’ if he decided to suspend Thompson’s jail sentence.

Judge Stephen Carroll asked the probation service to produce a report on whether Thompson would cooperate with the conditions of a suspended sentence.

He stressed the ‘unpleasantness’ of the crimes meant a custodial sentence was ‘inevitable’.

‘The only thing I need to find out is whether it could be suspended, given the challenges you faced and the time,’ he said.

Speaking directly to her, the judge said: ‘You are entitled to appropriate respect and courtesy and assistance in facing the challenges ahead of you but that respect goes both ways. Other people living their lives are entitled to courtesy and respect.’

Thompson was convicted of committing a public nuisance by indecent exposure, exposing her penis to members of the public while performing a sex act upon herself and outraging public decency.

Thompson will be sentenced on April 26. She has been granted conditional bail until that time.

Sex assault shame of Teesside ex-soldier

A former serviceman who touched a pre-teenage schoolgirl was jailed for a year, prompting loud gasps in court.

Andrew Douglas McNab, 31, took advantage of the underage girl when he sexually assaulted her.

He said he molested her in a “moment of madness” while weak and mentally scarred from his Army service, Teesside Crown Court heard.

He pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a girl under 13, and his account of the crime was accepted by the Crown.

There was crying in the public gallery as the sexual assault was described to the region’s most senior judge.

According to McNab, the girl “began demonstrating physical affection towards him”, prosecutor Anthony Dunne said.

“However the defendant, instead of restraining the complainant or preventing what was going on, took advantage of the situation,” he said.

McNab said he touched the girl for a few seconds before he pulled his hand away.

The girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, told her mother the next day and the police were called.

McNab, formerly of Ingram Road, Berwick Hills, Middlesbrough, at first denied he had touched her in a sexual way.

He later admitted the sexual assault from December 2009.

He was jailed in March this year for acting to pervert the course of justice by sending a letter to the girl’s mother apologising, denying the crime and requesting a meeting.

Last December, he was locked up for a year for affray after he threatened to shoot a former girlfriend and her new partner.

Judge Peter Fox QC, the Recorder of Middlesbrough, told McNab: “Your victim was, from her short experience of life, particularly vulnerable.

“You took advantage of her.” He jailed McNab for 12 months but rejected a “wholly impractical” suggested sexual offences prevention order.
